Is Elon Musk Actually Working With Dogecoin Developers?
A Twitter account by name of Bruce Fenton calling himself the lead developer at Dogecoin revealed that Elon Musk never contacted the Dogecoin team. His tweet since then has attracted both Bitcoin as well Dogecoin supporters and has sparked a controversy.
As the lead developer at Doge, I have to say that Elon has never contacted any of us.
We have a development system that we refer to as ossified preserved statefulness. If Elon wants to submit a DIP (DOGE Improvement Proposal) he’s welcome to – but we like the protocol how it is.

A few Days back Dogecoin Co-founder Jackson Palmer showed his disapproval of Elon’s actions in a tweet. Meanwhile, a few online media outlets also reported that Dogecoin developers are working with Elon since 2019.
The billionaire inventor a few days back tweeted that he is working with dogecoin developers to improve the system. This tweet comes at a very critical time considering the current bloodbath the cryptocurrency market is going through after Tesla stopped bitcoin payments.
Coingape team visited Dogecoin’s Github account which shows four developers and Bruce Fenton is not listed as a Dogecoin team member at the link.
What Is Elon Musk Planning?
Elon’s tweet that Tesla will no more accept Bitcoin as payment due to its high energy consumption sent the whole crypto market into shock. Elon Musk also tweeted that he is working with Dogecoin developers to improve the system.
Working with Doge devs to improve system transaction efficiency. Potentially promising.
